Minoru Yasui was most well-known for his courageous stand against military orders that resulted in the forced removal and imprisonment of over 110,000 persons of Japanese ancestry during World War II, but his entire life was committed to the defense of human and civil rights, and justice for all.

About Us

We are an ad hoc group of family, friends, admirers and supporters of Minoru Yasui who organized a centennial tribute to Min Yasui in 2016 on the anniversary of his birth.


The purpose of the Minoru Yasui Legacy project is to honor and reflect upon the contributions of Min Yasui in "making the world a better place."

Life History

Minoru "Min" Yasui's life was dedicated to safeguarding the rights of Americans and all peoples on her soil, and advancing equal treatment for all people.
